A Fresh Look at High Horse Creative—and New Ways to Work Together
If you know me through a conference, a riding program, a nonprofit event, or a website project, you may know a different piece of what I do.
The refreshed High Horse Creative website brings those pieces together, with clearer services, more examples of my work, and a new offering I’m especially excited about: themed pop-up bar experiences that come to your home or private gathering.
There are now three main ways to work with me. Each starts with a conversation about what you’re planning and where another set of capable hands would help.
An event partner for one occasion or your whole calendar
Conferences, galas, founder gatherings, and recurring business events involve a lot of moving pieces. Someone needs to keep the timeline current, coordinate the vendors, communicate with attendees, and make sure the program works when everyone arrives.
Through High Horse Creative, I offer fractional event management and production: experienced support on a contract basis, with responsibilities and availability shaped around your needs.
You might hire me for your organization's annual event or for ongoing help across a calendar of gatherings. Support can include registration, speaker coordination, vendor logistics, budget tracking, run-of-show development, and the programs, signage, or website pages that support the event.
I’ve worked in events since 2018. You can explore examples from my work with InvestMidwest, Northland Therapeutic Riding Center, JReid Indeed, and Stoneridge on The Work, with details about my involvement in each project.
Practical creative support for the work behind your business
Maybe your website needs to catch up with what you actually offer. Maybe the newsletter keeps slipping down the list, your inquiry process needs attention, or an event needs a coordinated set of materials.
My creative and business support includes websites, copy, newsletters, graphics, presentations, event collateral, contact-list cleanup, and practical tools that help you keep track of the work.
Projects can be focused and specific, such as refreshing a service page or creating an event program. Ongoing support can provide a consistent person to handle updates and other agreed responsibilities as they come up.
There is also dedicated support for equestrian businesses, grounded in my experience with riding programs and the realities of running a horse business.
A pop-up bar experience for your own gathering
This is the new one: themed parties and mobile bartending in Kansas City.
Think Friendsgiving with a cozy styled bar, a holiday get-together with signature cocktails, or a birthday with a theme you’ve been waiting for an excuse to use. I help plan the drinks and details, bring the bar styling and bartending tools, and handle bar setup, service, and breakdown.
Themed packages start at $850 plus gratuity. They include up to three hours of service with one bartender, planning for two signature cocktails, styling for one bar area, and a tailored shopping list. Hosts provide the alcohol, mixers, water, garnishes, and a suitable bar or table. Mocktail menu planning is also available.
Invitations, signage, additional styling, and other party details can be added to your proposal. You can choose how much help you want and spend more of the gathering enjoying the people you invited.
Tell me what you’re working on
I’m based in the Kansas City area, with remote project support and event travel available by arrangement. I’m accepting select project and ongoing-support inquiries, along with inquiries for the new party service.
If you have an event coming up, a business project that needs attention, or a gathering you’d love help hosting, tell me about it. We’ll talk through the priorities, scope, timing, and the best way to work together.
